Do you live in the home that you deserve? At frontier homes we build houses this way because
1) we know how to
2) you deserve it
3) we are filling a need
Housing has changed very little over the years. Codes have strengthened, homes are bigger, finishes are nicer. Aside from that not much has changed. Anybody can build an energy efficient home if you throw enough money at it. Our customers enjoy the benefits that come from our expertise using the latest building science.
Thermal images below show a home that has very minimal heat loss areas. This does not happen by chance. On mornings like this one, when it's very cold and frosty outside you can see where the framing members, especially wall studs are located on the exterior walls because the heat loss coming through the framing will melt the frost on the siding. Notice here a lack of thermal breaks, where you will normally see studs and framing members in walls. Even the windows have very little heat loss.
Frontier Homes LLC is at the forefront of building High Performance Homes. Having built homes in Alaska for decades, we learned where to get the biggest bang for the buck. We are proud to be able to provide high performance homes that are affordable.
If you are used to cold spots and drafty areas around your house, we have something special to offer you. There are several elements that we use to make sure our homes have a very high-quality indoor environment. It's great that we can substantially lower the cost of living by reducing utility bills. With that said, we are so proud of the features that people can really enjoy. What would it be like to live in a home that is comfortable in every room and virtually eliminate particulates that cause allergies and asthma problems? Our goal is to provide an exceptional living environment. You can take comfort that we hire an independent, third-party Home Energy Rater (HERS) to do an energy audit for the homes we build. This shows the homeowner that you don't have to take our word for it.
